Guys, I read SO MANY books in June!! I took an unexpected break from writing because I was feeling some burn-out, was unmotivated, and didn't figure out how I wanted to fix the weakest part of my book for a long time. So I ended up reading and rereading instead! And here were my faves. :)
This was SO GOOD! It took a bit to understand what was going on and how everything worked, but I can't wait to read more of Bethany's books now!
This came highly recommended from friends, and I *really* enjoyed it. And the graphics were FANTASTIC.
This is, hands down, one of the best books of 2020. Like just. WOW. AMAZING. BRUTAL AT TIMES. BEAUTIFUL. The poetry was like a warm hug and a punch to the gut in equal measure. I loved these girls and their stories so much, and I can't believe I waited this long to read something by Elizabeth Acevedo. Hello new auto-buy/auto-read author!
I also started reading picture books for research purposes (but hell, they're super fun, so I'd read them without a reason too!), and these were my favorites:
Next on the TBR: all of the Saga volumes (I've read the first two but not the rest), Fortuna Sworn, and Today, Tonight, Tomorrow.
